Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Miller Buccaneers
The Victoria East Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Miller at home to the tune of 87-42. With Victoria East ahead 48-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Victoria East can attribute much of their success to Nevaeh Sanchez, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Rather, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Victoria East is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Miller, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-16.
Victoria East will head out on the road to face off against Ray at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ray comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Miller, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Victoria West at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Victoria West is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
