Softball Preview: Bishop Gorman Gaels vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

Bishop Gorman hasn't had much luck against Shadow Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Gaels are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Bishop Gorman's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Foothill 2-0. The Gaels haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Foothill's batters probably weren't too happy with Makamae Eugenio, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up two walks). Eugenio has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Devaeh Crawford was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Shadow Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
