Recap: Wishkah Valley Loggers vs. Oakville Acorns
The Wishkah Valley Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Oakville 57-14. Wishkah Valley has struggled against Oakville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Oakville found their leader in underclassman Ui Siufanua, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Siufanua has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Mandy Lee was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Wishkah Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Oakville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.
Wishkah Valley will face off against Lake Quinault at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Quinault comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Oakville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Crescent at 5:00 p.m. Crescent is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
