Basketball Recap: Fresta Valley Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fresta Valley Christian had to endure a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 55-43 win over the Mt. Carmel Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Devon Huff, who posted 23 points. With that strong performance, Huff is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Aidan Prichard, who earned 11 points.

Fresta Valley Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1. As for Mt. Carmel Christian Academy, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Fresta Valley Christian will host Mountain View Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Mt. Carmel Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Regents at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Regents is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
