Softball Recap: Franklin Find Success

Franklin got themselves on the board against Sheldon on Monday, but Sheldon never followed suit. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 4-0. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Huskies back in March, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.

Addison Meddings was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Micayla Arlotto, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin and bumps their season record up to 12-9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Sheldon, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-6-1 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Franklin is set to challenge their familiar foe Elk Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sheldon will face off against rival Laguna Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
