Basketball Recap: Cement Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cement, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Carnegie Wildcats 58-37 on Monday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

When it comes to explaining why Carnegie lost, don't look at Karlee Tohkofper. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Celeste Izquierdo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Cement's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Carnegie, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Cement has already played their next matchup, a 91-14 win against Cyril on the 21st. As for Carnegie, they will welcome Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College at 1:00 p.m. on January 28th.
