After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westfield, Chantilly was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 54-53 win over the Centreville Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 74-68 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Centreville lost, don't look at Jaxson Davis. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Davis' fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Soren Kyne, who earned 11 points.

Chantilly's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Centreville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Chantilly will head out to square off against Oakton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Centreville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
