Basketball Recap: Franklin Beats Eaton for Their Second Straight Win

Franklin won the last time they faced Eaton, and Kai Cook did his part to make sure it happened again. The Franklin Wildcats took down the Eaton Eagles 72-53 on Tuesday thanks in part to Cook, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Franklin's points.

Liam Hogan was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards. Those seven points gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Eaton, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Franklin will be playing at home against Clinton-Massie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Clinton-Massie will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight. Eaton has already played their next matchup (against Brookville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
