Baseball Recap: Western Brown Wins Going Away Against Wilmington

After losing to Wilmington the last time they met, Western Brown decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Hurricane on Monday. The game marked the Broncos' most dominant win of the season so far.

Aiden Jetter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Jetter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Jetter wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Stewart, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Western Brown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilmington only managed five hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Western Brown and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Wilmington, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
