Basketball Game Preview: Fontainebleau Bulldogs vs. Northshore Panthers

Fontainebleau is 1-9 against Northshore since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fontainebleau Bulldogs will square off against the Northshore Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fontainebleau comes in on nine and Northshore on 11.

Fontainebleau will head into Tuesday's game having proved themselves against Chalmette: Fontainebleau barely beat Chalmette the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Fontainebleau took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 62-35 win over Chalmette. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Owls are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Northshore humbled Cohen with a 64-22 victory. The matchup marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season.

Fontainebleau has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Northshore, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Fontainebleau might still be hurting after the 54-32 defeat they got from Northshore in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Fontainebleau avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
