Volleyball Recap: Cromwell Takes a Loss

Cromwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Branford Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 26-28, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Cromwell still got an impressive performance from Isabella Davis, who had 22 assists and eight digs. With that strong performance, Davis is now averaging an impressive 12.5 assists per game.

Cromwell's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for North Branford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Cromwell will head out to square off against Academy of Science and Innovation at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Branford, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Morgan on the 15th.
