Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

If Springfield was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Ridley on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against Friends' Central on Friday, falling 5-2.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Friends' Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will take on Valley Forge Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Forge Military Academy have yet to allow a single goal through four matchups this season, a streak Springfield will look to end. As for Friends' Central, they will square off against Germantown Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
