Softball Recap: Devine Comes Up Short

Devine and Ingleside squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Devine had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-0 to the Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-0 loss on Thursday.

Devine's loss dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Ingleside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-10 record this season.

Devine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ingleside, they will square off against Zapata on the 17th.
