Basketball Game Preview: Castleberry Lions vs. Bridgeport Bulls

The Castleberry Lions will venture away from home to take on the Bridgeport Bulls at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Castleberry will be strutting in after a victory while Bridgeport will be coming in after a defeat.

Castleberry will head into Tuesday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a 27-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Worth, sneaking past 60-57. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Krum, falling 86-58. The Bulls haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Castleberry, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-17.

Castleberry didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bridgeport in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castleberry since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
