Basketball Game Preview: Sherman Huskies vs. Klickitat-Glenwood

The Sherman Huskies will square off against Klickitat-Glenwood at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sherman is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler on Tuesday as Sherman made off with a 65-39 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Klickitat-Glenwood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 74-70 to South Wasco County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (57), Klickitat-Glenwood still had to take the loss.

Sherman pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Klickitat-Glenwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Sherman against Klickitat-Glenwood when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 65-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sherman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
