Recap: Pine Knights vs. Dade Christian Crusaders
Make it 11 blowout wins for the Pine Knights this season. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-18 victory over Dade Christian. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pine has managed all season.
Emily Shirk continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Pine's points. Anna Birmingham was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Pine pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Dade Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine will take on Tradition Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tradition Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Pine is ranked 208th). As for Dade Christian, they will be playing at home against Jewish Culture at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
