Munising had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They blew past the Rapid River Rockets 60-39. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Rockets are ranked 639th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Munising's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points over those games. As for Rapid River, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Munising will welcome Superior Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rapid River, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stephenson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Rapid River likes a good challenge.
