Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Westminster Academy

The Calvary Christian Academy Eagles will head out to square off against the Westminster Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Calvary Christian Academy came up short against Somerset Academy - Canyons and fell 3-1.

The Eagles' goal came courtesy of Kyle Marsan, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Westminster Academy kept a clean sheet against Sports Leadership & Management on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pandas 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Westminster Academy were the better team in the second half.

Calvary Christian Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Westminster Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Calvary Christian Academy took their win against Westminster Academy when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
