Basketball Recap: Antelope Valley Takes a Loss

Antelope Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-34 defeat at the hands of the Highland Bulldogs. The Antelopes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-20.

Antelope Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sigheir Harris, who posted nine points. That's the most points Harris has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Esceryn Archie, who earned seven points.

Antelope Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Antelope Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-40 loss against Quartz Hill on the 3rd. Highland has also already played their next game, a 73-58 victory against Lancaster on the 3rd.
