Baseball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield had taken St. Charles down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Warriors took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly five runs.

Winfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anderson Hudson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Winfield and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for St. Charles, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Winfield will face off against Warrenton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles, they will take on Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
