Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for South Fork

While South Fork put up some points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sebastian River. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Sharks with a sharp 21-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Savannah Tatum continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Her longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Fork was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

South Fork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sarina Dadko and Tatum.

The victory (which was South Fork's third in a row) raised their record to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for Sebastian River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

South Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-6 victory against Cardinal Newman on the 3rd. As for Sebastian River, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Sharks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
