Basketball Recap: Scott Beavers vs. Trinity Celtics
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scott). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Trinity Celtics 79-27. Given the Beavers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Celtics are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson Rumford was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Alex Tarango, who went 6 for 9 en route to 15 points and three steals.
