Basketball Recap: Echols County Comes Up Short

Echols County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 58-43 to the Atkinson County Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-30 back in December of 2025.

Echols County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Atkinson County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

Coming up, Echols County will welcome Crisp Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atkinson County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clinch County at 6:00 p.m.
