Football Game Preview: Soroco Rams vs. Plateau Valley Cowboys + Official Tickets

The Soroco Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Plateau Valley Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Soroco is looking for their season's first win.

Soroco fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lake County on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 30-28. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Rams' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Plateau Valley made easy work of Rangely on Friday and carried off a 44-24 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cowboys.

One reason for the win was Plateau Valley's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Rangely's QB won't forget Grant Bevan anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Bevan has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Another thorn in Rangely's side was Colter Ralston, who made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Soroco's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Plateau Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Soroco was taken down by Plateau Valley 62-12 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 46-12.
