Basketball Recap: Pope John Paul II Takes a Loss

Pope John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 56-37 bruising from the Ensworth Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-44 on January 3rd.

Pope John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Ensworth, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Pope John Paul II will head out to square off against St. Cecilia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ensworth, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lipscomb Academy at 5:00 p.m. Lipscomb Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Ensworth surely won't give up without a fight.
