Scranton won the last time they faced Wyoming Valley West and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights blew past the Spartans, posting a 45-7 win. With the Knights ahead 45-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Reece Whitman was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 129 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Kamani Sterling got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Scranton didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Wyoming Valley West to a completion percentage of just 37.5%. The team can thank Trevon Castellano for the heroic effort on defense: he. Scranton wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 71.4%.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Scranton, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Sterling, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory got Scranton back to even at 1-1. As for Wyoming Valley West, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scranton will head out to take on Pocono Mountain East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wyoming Valley West, they will venture away from home to square off against North Pocono at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
