Baseball Recap: Sulphur Comes Up Short

Sulphur was the 10-0 winner over Lone Grove when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Jett Runyan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sulphur's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Lone Grove, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

While Sulphur had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
