Basketball Recap: Sullivan East Comes Up Short

Sullivan East was the 81-24 winner over John Battle when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Sullivan East Patriots took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Battle Trojans on Monday.

Sullivan East has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for John Battle, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Sullivan East will be taking part in a tournament against Bearden at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Battle and Panther Creek will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Panther Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
