Wellington is a perfect 8-0 against Shamrock since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Skyrockets will host the Irish at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Wellington humbled Quanah with a 51-13 victory. The result was nothing new for the Skyrockets, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Shamrock hadn't done well against Clarendon recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Irish secured a 36-30 W over the Broncos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Irish.

Shamrock found their leader in sophomore Cross Stambaugh, who picked up 236 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. Stambaugh also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making two total tackles, and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another player making a difference was Jace Moon, who threw for 346 yards and five TDs.

Shamrock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Stambaugh and Layton Gilbert.

Wellington's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Shamrock, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Wellington against Shamrock when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-14 victory. In that game, the Skyrockets amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
