Volleyball Recap: Dyvet Fonseca and Elsa Andersen Secure Win for Sutton

Sutton won the last time they faced Bruning-Davenport/Shickley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

While Sutton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Sutton was led to victory by Elsa Andersen and Dyvet Fonseca. Andersen had eight digs and two aces, while Fonseca had 12 digs. Those two aces gave Andersen a new career-high. Miranda Nuss also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Sutton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Sutton has already played their next contest (against St. Paul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they will challenge Cross County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
