Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Cities Christian Eagles vs. Asheville Christian Academy Lions

The Tri-Cities Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Tri-Cities Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.

If Tri-Cities Christian beats Asheville Christian Academy with 80 points on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Tri-Cities Christian walked away with an 80-71 win over Knox Central on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Asheville Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Brevard on Friday as they won 67-50. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Asheville Christian Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Tri-Cities Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 21-11.
