Baseball Recap: Brookline Comes Up Short

Brookline lost against Walpole back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.

Elias Brendel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Adam Rosenblatt, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Brookline has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Walpole, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Brookline will take on Braintree at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walpole, they will face off against Newton North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
