There's no place like home for East Stroudsburg South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals on Tuesday, sneaking past 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Cavaliers: when they faced off against the Cardinals on April 1st, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Mayla Mathew was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and four runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emily Ehrhardt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: East Stroudsburg South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

East Stroudsburg South's record is now 8-10. As for Pocono Mountain East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Stroudsburg South will take on Pleasant Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Pocono Mountain East, they will square off against Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
