Baseball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Upper Perkiomen was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Upper Merion Area Vikings by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in April.

Upper Perkiomen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Godshall, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Godshall's first of the season.

Upper Perkiomen's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Upper Merion Area, their record is now 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Upper Perkiomen will challenge rival Pope John Paul II at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Upper Merion Area is set to square off against their familiar foe Pottstown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
