Volleyball Recap: South Fort Myers Gets the Win

South Fort Myers's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Immokalee Indians by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 24-26, 25-21.

Jerzi Nace paced South Fort Myers' offense, picking up eight kills. Nace also shared the team's lead in assists with Sophia Vento-Iglesias: they picked up ten each. Nace was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

South Fort Myers' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Immokalee, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fort Myers will host Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Immokalee, they will take on East Lee County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Indians' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
