Baseball Game Preview: Cache Bulldogs vs. Eisenhower Eagles

The Cache Bulldogs will face off against the Eisenhower Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cache and four for Eisenhower.

Cache lost 13-6 to Elgin on Tuesday.

Deshaun Harvey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Cache's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Carrisalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.

Altus hit Eisenhower with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-2.

Eisenhower saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Large, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Cache's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Cache got the 'W' in their previous meeting on March 7th against Eisenhower by a conclusive 15-7 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
