Soccer Game Preview: Spanish Fork vs. Maple Mountain

The Spanish Fork Dons will face off against the Maple Mountain Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fork's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Spanish Fork is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Timpview last Thursday. The Dons and the Thunderbirds finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Maple Mountain had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 5-1 win. Maple Mountain might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Springville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

With that draw, Spanish Fork's record moves to 4-5-1. As for Maple Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
