Basketball Recap: Marysville Takes Down Jefferson West in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Marysville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Jefferson West Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-32 back in January.

Marysville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Jefferson West and nudges their season record down to 5-14-1.

Marysville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson West, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-40 loss against Silver Lake on the 28th.
