North Zulch lost a close one when they played last Tuesday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a tough 18-4 defeat at the hands of the Oakwood Panthers. North Zulch was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oakwood apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Oakwood's part, Johnny Russell and Eddy Ramirez did most of the damage at the plate: Russell went 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs, while Ramirez scored four runs while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Gavin Wilbanks, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with a stolen base and an RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for North Zulch and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Oakwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3-1.
