Basketball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Goshen lost against Northridge back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goshen RedHawks were beaten by the Northridge Raiders 62-17. The RedHawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-8.

When it comes to explaining why Goshen lost, don't look at Taryn Hill. Despite the final result, she went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Scholl, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points. Scholl has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Conley, who posted nine points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Goshen has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Northridge, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Goshen has already played their next contest, a 63-9 loss against Penn on the 21st. As for Northridge, they will take on Rushville in a tournament on Friday. Northridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.
