Basketball Game Preview: Wabash Apaches vs. Marion Giants

The Wabash Apaches and the Marion Giants will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Wabash will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Wabash is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since January 9th on Friday. They were outmatched by Maconaquah and fell 71-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Apaches have suffered against the Braves since December 8, 2017.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). They enjoyed a cozy 73-59 win over Richmond on Friday.

Marion pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Wabash, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Wabash suffered a grim 72-46 defeat to Marion when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Wabash avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
