Softball Recap: Freedom Wins Going Away Against Stroudsburg

Freedom won the last time they faced Stroudsburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Mountaineers. Considering the Patriots have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Freedom is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Stroudsburg, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Freedom will face off against rival Nazareth Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stroudsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Pocono Mountain East at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
