Baseball Recap: Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

After flying high against Independence on Monday, Cristo Rey came back down to earth. The Cougar fell just short of the Foxfire Phoenix by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.

Cristo Rey now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Foxfire, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Cristo Rey will venture away from home to face off against South at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougar's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Foxfire, they will be playing at home against Briggs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
