Basketball Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-58 to the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions.

Immaculata-La Salle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alessio Saumat out in front who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Gordon, who put up 15 points.

Academy for Innovative Education's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Immaculata-La Salle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Academy for Innovative Education will take on Calusa Prep at 4:00 p.m. on January 29th. Immaculata-La Salle has already played their next match, a 74-45 loss against Monsignor Pace on the 23rd.
