It's playoff time, and Great Bend had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Piper Pirates by a score of 3-0 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Not much got past Carson Umphres, who gave up just six hits to keep Piper off the board. Umphres has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Great Bend saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daxton Minton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Great Bend's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Piper, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

As of now, neither Great Bend nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
