The McKinney North Bulldogs will square off against the Walnut Grove Wildcats at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for McKinney North: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Walnut Grove has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, McKinney North turned things around against Connally on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cadets 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since January 9th.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Walnut Grove challenged Reedy on Saturday. Walnut Grove blew past Reedy 82-60. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Lions are ranked 671st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Walnut Grove is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
