Baseball Recap: Jal Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Jal was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Loving Falcons, falling 16-1. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Jal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayten Butts, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Javier Santillan was another, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Jal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Loving, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Jal will challenge Texico at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.92 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Loving, they will square off against Eunice at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven contests.
