Volleyball Recap: Prospect Ridge Academy Victorious

Prospect Ridge Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 3-2. For the Miners, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Prospect Ridge Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14, 15-6.

Prospect Ridge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Coincidentally, Prospect Ridge Academy and Montezuma-Cortez will both be playing Village the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Mountaineers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Miners will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
