Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Prep Panthers vs. Homer Pelicans

Lincoln Prep hasn't had much luck against Homer recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lincoln Prep Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Homer Pelicans at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lincoln Prep lost 43-18 to Ringgold on Friday.

Meanwhile, Homer unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Arcadia, falling 54-28. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Hornets are ranked 38th).

Lincoln Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Homer, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9.

Things could have been worse for Lincoln Prep, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 45-28 loss to Homer in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Lincoln Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
