Basketball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Lincoln-Way West entered their matchup against Lockport on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lincoln-Way West Warriors took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lockport Porters. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Porters apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lincoln-Way West's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Lockport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Lincoln-Way West and Lockport should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Lincoln-Way West (ranked 60th) will meet Andrew (ranked 202nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln-Way West will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Lockport will face off against Lincoln-Way Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 167 places (34 vs. 201).
